# Account Activation

When an Administrator or Owner adds you to the Ibexa Agentic Marketing Platform, you receive an invitation email. You must activate your account before you can log in for the first time. Activation sets your password and captures a few details about your role.

## Step 1: Open the Invitation Email

Check your inbox for an invitation email from the Ibexa Agentic Marketing Platform. The email names the organisation you have been invited to and contains a personal activation link. Select the link to open the **Activate account** page. The page displays your name or email address to confirm the link belongs to your account.

> **Note:** Activation links are personal and single-use. Do not share your link with anyone.

## Step 2: Set Your Password

Enter your chosen password in the **New Password** field, then enter it again in the **Confirm Password** field. A **password strength indicator** appears below the **New Password** field as you type, showing your current strength rating and a checklist of requirements.

### Password Requirements

Your password must satisfy **all** of the following before the form can be submitted:

| Requirement       | Details                                                                       |
| ----------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Minimum length    | At least **15 characters**                                                    |
| Maximum length    | No more than **64 characters**                                                |
| Mixed case        | At least one **uppercase** and one **lowercase** letter                       |
| Number            | At least one **digit** (0–9)                                                  |
| Special character | At least one special character, for example `!`, `@`, `$`, `%`, `&`, `/`, `?` |
| Strength rating   | The overall rating must reach at least **Strong**                             |

The strength bar shows one of four ratings:

| Rating          | Meaning                                           |
| --------------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| **Weak**        | Fewer than two requirements met - cannot activate |
| **Medium**      | Two requirements met - cannot activate            |
| **Strong**      | Three requirements met - can activate             |
| **Very Strong** | All four requirements met                         |

A green tick appears next to each requirement as it is satisfied.

## Step 3: Complete Your Profile

After setting your password, fill in two profile fields that help the platform tailor your experience.

### Job Position *(required)*

Enter or select your job title. As you type, a list of suggestions appears - you may choose one from the list or type your own title. The field accepts up to 255 characters. Suggested positions include roles such as:

* Marketing Manager
* Content Producer / Creator
* SEO Specialist
* Digital Marketing Specialist
* Product Marketing Manager
* and more

### Job Activities *(required - select at least 3)*

Open the **Job activities** dropdown and select all the tasks that apply to your day-to-day work. You must select **at least 3 activities**. Available activities include options such as:

* Create Copy
* Plan Campaigns
* Analyze Content
* Build Segments
* Optimize SEO
* Support Customers
* Run A/B Tests
* and more

### Newsletter *(optional)*

Select the checkbox if you would like to receive the newsletter with product updates and marketing tips. This is optional and can be left unchecked.

## Step 4: Activate Your Account

Once all fields are valid, select **Activate account**. The platform logs you in automatically and takes you to the home page.

## Troubleshooting

If the activation link cannot be used, an error message is shown instead of the form.

| Message                                              | Cause                                        | What to do                                                                            |
| ---------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| *This activation link is invalid or does not exist.* | The link is malformed or was not recognised. | Contact your Administrator and ask for a new invitation.                              |
| *This activation link has expired.*                  | The link is no longer active.                | Contact your Administrator and ask for a new invitation.                              |
| *This activation link has already been used.*        | The account has already been activated.      | Go to the login page and sign in, or contact your Administrator if you cannot log in. |
| *This activation link is no longer valid.*           | The link was revoked or superseded.          | Contact your Administrator and ask for a new invitation.                              |

Select **Back** on the error screen to return to the login page.
