# Password Reset

If you have forgotten your password, the Ibexa Agentic Marketing Platform provides a self-service password reset flow. This process does not require you to be logged in.

## Step 1: Request a Password Reset Email

1. Go to the login page.
2. Select **Forgot password** (shown below the login form).
3. On the **Forgot password** page, enter the **Email** address associated with your account.
4. Select **Reset password**. If the email address is recognised, a confirmation message appears: *"We've sent to your email account a link to reset your password."* The email field clears automatically.

> **Note:** The confirmation message is shown regardless of whether the email address exists in the system. This is a security measure to prevent account enumeration.

1. Select **Back to sign in page** to return to the login page, or wait for the email to arrive.

## Step 2: Open the Reset Link from Your Email

Check your inbox for an email from the Ibexa Agentic Marketing Platform. Open the email and select the password reset link inside it. The link takes you directly to the **Set new password** page.

> **Note:** Password reset links expire after a limited time. If the link has expired, repeat Step 1 to request a new one.

## Step 3: Set a New Password

On the **Set new password** page:

1. Enter your new password in the **New Password** field.
2. Enter the same password again in the **Confirm Password** field.
3. Select **Reset Password**. A **password strength indicator** appears below the **New Password** field as you type, showing your current strength rating and a checklist of requirements.

### Password Requirements

Your new password must meet **all** of the following criteria before it can be saved:

| Requirement       | Details                                                                                 |
| ----------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Minimum length    | At least **15 characters**                                                              |
| Maximum length    | No more than **64 characters**                                                          |
| Mixed case        | At least one **uppercase** letter and one **lowercase** letter                          |
| Number            | At least one **digit** (0–9)                                                            |
| Special character | At least one special character, for example `!`, `@`, `$`, `%`, `&`, `.`, `.`, `/`, `?` |
| Strength rating   | The overall rating must reach at least **Strong**                                       |

The strength indicator shows one of four ratings:

| Rating          | Meaning                                                  |
| --------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Weak**        | One or fewer requirements met - password cannot be saved |
| **Medium**      | Two requirements met - password cannot be saved          |
| **Strong**      | Three requirements met - password can be saved           |
| **Very Strong** | All four requirements met                                |

A green tick appears next to each requirement as it is satisfied. The **Reset Password** button becomes active only when both fields are valid and match each other.

## After a Successful Reset

Once your password is reset, a success message confirms the change and you are automatically redirected to the **login page**. Sign in using your email address and your new password.
